It might come as a surprise to many that on this record Johnny Dowd, who is known for his never stopping evolvement and ever changing experiment, grasps back to his own roots. On this album he goes back to his 1998s debut "Wrong Side Of Memphis". For this album he locked himself into the studio (despite a few visits of singer Anna Coogan) where he started working using his 70s drumcomputer, synths and guitar. The result is Johnny Dowd in the most vulnerable but the most uncompromising way. The first reviews - mostly out of the United Kingdom - are all raving. This month's Uncut Magazine titles "That's Your Wife On The Back Of My Horse" as "Best Of The Month". Americana-UK says "This is art but it is also arresting music. More people should be making this sort of shit".
In exactly one month Johnny Dowd starts of his solo European tour in Germany. He will travel through Belgium, United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
