"Honky Tonk Woman of the Year" Whitney Rose plots July-August Europe tour

10-03-2019

Whitney Rose is an inimitable singer, songwriter, and performer, but don’t take our word for it. The Fader says she “is making country music gold.” Rolling Stone states that her songwriting is “rich with sly wisdom,” while Paste exclaims that “she’s firmly etched her identity in a genre that begs for singularity simply to stand out." The 2019 Honky Tonk Woman of the Year Ameripolitan Award winner is not to be missed. And that's why we're glad to announce her first bunch of European tourdates of this year today:

18/07: Sheffield (UK) @ Greystones
19/07: Biddulph (UK) @ St Lawrences Church
21/07: Bristol (UK) @ The Hen and Chicken
22/07: Hull (UK) @ Kardomah 94
23/07: London (UK) @ The Lexington
25/07: Glasgow (UK) @ Broadcast
26/07: Newcastle (UK) @ The Cluny
02/08: Modena (IT) @ Savoniero Country Festival
04/08: La Roche-Sur-Foron (FR) @ La Roche Bluegrass Festival
09/08: Offenbach (DE) @ Hafen 2
10/08: Hamburg (DE) @ Nochtwache

There are many useful rules to live by, but for Whitney Rose, there’s one that stands alone as a guiding principle for life as she knows it: Rule 62. The origin of the rule is best summed up by the poignant, pronoun-adjusted excerpt from Alcoholics Anonymous’ Tradition Four cited above, a treatise on how to find harmony between ambition and self-awareness, and how to learn one’s lessons with humor and humility. This truism, officially worded as “Don’t Take Yourself Too Damn Seriously,” is the origin of both the title and ethos of Whitney Rose’s latest album, Rule 62.
