Pert Near Sandstone returns to Europe for festivals and clubs
06-05-2018This bluegrass group released their latest album Discovery Of Honey in 2016. Ever since Pert Near Sandstone formed a lot has happened. Personal struggles and new faces and new sounds. On the album mentioned above Ryan Young, founder of the group, reunited with them in studio. He had then toured the world a few times with fellow bluegrass-heroes Trampled By Turtles.
Breakneck bluegrass and an onslaught of strings distinguish this new album of original works from Minneapolis' pride and joy. The collective hosts their own Blue Ox Music Festival which they head to straight after their upcoming European tour which kicks off in about a week.
On their first ever, successful, European tour they got the chance to perform at festivals such as Roskilde, Rotterdam Bluegrass and Fête de la Musique. This time highlights include the International Bühl Bluegrass Festival, Ribs & Blues, Festival Mijl op Zeven, Dauwpop, FullPull Festival and many more:
