Corb Lund announces solo European tour early 2018
19-11-2017Corb Lund returns to Europe in 2018, and the award- winning country star is gearing-up to performing his distinct brand of underground country music, straight-up and solo. “Playing with my band is one of my favourite things, but solo shows allow me to interact with the audience in a whole new way,” Lund says. “I don’t get to Europe all that often, so I really want these shows to be special.”
Lund won’t be completely alone on this run, though: His Jan. 26 performance at Celtic Connections in Glasgow will be alongside his friend and frequent songwriting buddy, Hayes Carll. Later, Lund will join his fellow Canadian, up-and-coming country artist Colter Wall, on two of Wall’s shows in the Netherlands.
Lund released his 9th and most recent album, Things That Can’t Be Undone, in 2015. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson), the critically acclaimed release prompted Rolling Stone to declare Lund among the “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know,” while NPR called it “a high mark of a long career.”
